Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2026

1. Overview

TapMaro operates a digital business card platform that lets professionals, businesses, and brands share contact details, media, and links from a single NFC card or URL.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use TapMaro, why we collect it, how we store and protect it, and the rights you have. Please read it together with our Terms & Conditions.

2. Information we collect

Account information — your name and email address, plus any profile content you choose to publish (business name, category, photos, videos, links, and description).

Email address — required to create an account, verify your email, send essential service messages, and process password resets or account deletion requests.

Google Login data — when you sign in with Google, we receive the email address and name associated with your Google account, and use them only to create and authenticate your TapMaro account. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Public profile information — anything you publish on your card is intentionally public and visible to anyone who opens your card, as designed.

Analytics and usage data — aggregated interaction data such as profile opens, NFC taps, button clicks, device type, and browser information, used to operate and improve the platform.

Cookies and session data — we use cookies and HttpOnly session cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session. See section 5.

3. How we use information

To create, maintain, and operate your account, cards, dashboard, and analytics.

To verify your email address and secure your account and sessions.

To deliver essential service communications (verification, security, billing, and renewal reminders).

To improve product quality, security, reliability, and performance.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data sharing

We share information only with service providers who help run the platform (for example, hosting, email delivery, and payment processing) under contract, and where required by law.

Public profile data you publish is visible to anyone who opens your card, as intended by the product.

5. Cookies & session data

We use cookie-based sessions to keep you authenticated. These cookies are HttpOnly and SameSite-protected; they are not readable by client-side scripts.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the platform.

You can clear cookies through your browser at any time, which will sign you out of your session.

6. Data storage & retention

We store profile data for as long as your account is active and retain necessary records for legal, security, and operational purposes afterward.

Data is stored on secured servers with access limited to authorized personnel.

7. Data protection & security measures

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest where applicable, secure password hashing, session revocation, and role-based access control.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

8. Your rights

You can access, correct, or update your profile information from your dashboard at any time.

You may request a copy of your data, portability, or correction by contacting us.

You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time (see section 9).

9. Account deletion requests

You may request account deletion and removal of your personal data by emailing tapmaro.in@gmail.com.

After verifying ownership of the account, we will process deletion requests according to applicable law and platform policy. Some records may be retained where required by law.
